Chevita’s son rushed her to the hospital after finding her on the floor at home. She suffered a stroke that left her unable to walk or use her upper limbs. Although intimidated at first, she stayed dedicated to her recovery at SJVRH.

While out to dinner with her husband, Susan began having difficulties swallowing. She didn’t think anything of it and went on with her night. Shortly after returning home, she suffered a stroke leaving her unable to walk or talk.

On a recent trip to Las Vegas, Al noticed that he was having problems catching his breath. He described it as “labored breathing.” As the trip continued, his condition didn’t improve. Concerned, he decided to contact his cardiologist when he returned home.

Thomas H. got a mild burn on his foot at work that led to a severe infection requiring an above-the-knee amputation. He was happy that he trusted his recovery with SJVRH and looks forward to continuing with outpatient therapy.

Stanley always thought of himself as healthy so it came as a shock when he suffered a stroke. He came to SJVRH with a positive attitude eager to start his recovery.
